A few weeks ago my friends decided to put together a “Country Crab Cookin’ Potluck”. Now I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I figured I’d bring some cocktail shrimp. Though I’d keep it with the theme and make it from scratch and have a good time with it.
I’ll be honest, this is one of those things that is now in my repertoire and I’ll make again. The cocktail sauce recipe was easy to blend together (although half the recipe would be PLENTY) and the shrimp were easy and delicious with a bit of spices on top. Overall, Alton Brown has a great recipe of both. My friends enjoyed it – I’ll admit I was a bit surprised, but it was really good. We had such a variety of dishes for lunch and it was just fun to meet new people and eat and drink with friends.
