Cooking: Chilaquiles


Ever since getting my lovely cookbook, I’ve had shared it with some friends who wanted to cook some recipes so I let them borrow it. One of Patrick’s roommates wanted to try the chilaquiles. He made them once and it looked amazing. When it came time for us to make it, it was such a process to get it all done. Drinks: Bad Day Bitter Martini and Smoky Tequila Sour

There are some great drinks in the book. I’ll be honest – I’m not a martini person, but the tequila sour was delicious! There was this great alcohol, amaro montenegro, which was in both drinks and it’s become one of our favorite things to add a splash of in our mixed drinks. Thanks Alton!

Baking: Midnight Mug Cake for 2


Since I’m all for easy recipes – this one was perfect for me to make. Combine a few ingredients and I was ready to have cake! It’s funny because I had this myself even though it does say it’s for two. Baking: Chewy Peanut Butter Cookie


The book has some great recipes so I always enjoy new dishes and trying new things. I have a great peanut butter cookie recipe already (Martha Stewart has a great cookie book with many recipes I enjoy), but the recipe sounded interesting since it was gluten free. I do have a few friends that are sensitive, but I love my gluten.
