30 by 30: 25 states

I’ve always been a big traveler – or at least ever since college. Before that, my parents had definitely took us to a few different trip where I was able to explore the US as a child.

When I was young, my parents drove up from Oklahoma (which is where I spent part of my childhood) up to Canada and back down. We also went to some of the Rocky Mountain states on a family trip when I was a little older. Of course, we could forget my independent adventures to Japan. However, my 25th state was Oregon (Portland) – a trip I went on recently with my boyfriend. Some pictures below from my trip there.

(Various pictures from Portland: A mural we saw, obligatory feet picture of the Portland International Airport carpet, and a bike statue)

(Blue Star Donuts and Voodoo Doughnuts)

(Powell’s Books where they have basically a city block’s worth of books and Multnomah Whiskey Library where they have a variety of whiskeys to try)

(Two of the best dishes we had when we in Portland: Pine State Biscuits and Pok Pok)

And last, but not least, some nature.

(Multnomah Falls, Japanese Garden, and the top of the falls)

Portland was a great 1 year anniversary trip for the two of us. Lots of exploring a place neither of have been to. Eating a ton of food and seeing the tourist spots. I can’t wait to go back and try even more food and explore more.

I actually hoped I’d be able to get to all 50 states by the end of my 20s, and that’s still the aim, but 25 is pretty good for now.
