Again, more Great British Baking show inspired baking for my boyfriend means I make cheesecake. They had some great flavors in cheese, but he’s a blueberry kind of guy. Baking: Whole Wheat Bread


With a mandate to use all the whole wheat flour, I had to go find some recipes to use it. To be honest, I’m actually afraid of yeast bread – actually I think I’m just afraid of yeast. I’m afraid of overproofing, and underproofing and just everything around yeast. However, after watching all the episodes of The Great British Baking Show, I decided to give making bread a try again. We went with a honey whole wheat oatmeal bread.

Baking: Spinach Quiche

It’s been a while since I’ve baked – or really made anything in the kitchen. I’ve just been crazy busy at work – travelling and such and the holiday so I’ve taken a break. Now it’s busy season so I’ve just been working pretty much all the time. I do TRY and get some relaxing time in and this weekend was perfect to do so. Baking: Avocado Brownie


I love my best friend. She is an amazing person who is out on the East Coast herself for medical school. Typically we email each other since sometimes we don’t want the pressures of texting and having to text back all the time. We both grew up in Southern California so we love our avocados.
