As I’ve been spending more time together, we try and eat out less – so that means we try and cook more often. That being said, we need to get our costs way down since I do tend to like to make elaborate meals from my EveryDayCook cookbook, but it was nice to get an easier meal from Avid Baker’s Challenge.

Cooking: Liege Waffles

Living out of two different apartments can be difficult. With my boyfriend living in Berkeley and myself living in SF, we try and spend equal amounts of time in each other’s places. I’m sure both our roommates appreciate that, but it makes our planning at times complicated. I had plans in SF on Friday night and Sunday morning and him on Saturday afternoon.

Baking: Spinach Quiche

It’s been a while since I’ve baked – or really made anything in the kitchen. I’ve just been crazy busy at work – travelling and such and the holiday so I’ve taken a break. Now it’s busy season so I’ve just been working pretty much all the time. I do TRY and get some relaxing time in and this weekend was perfect to do so. Baking: Bourbon Bread Pudding 


I’ve really tried to push myself to make one thing a week from the Alton Brown EveryDayCook book. If you know me well, I don’t actually have all that much alcohol. Well maybe wine (like Moscato), but never really anything else.
